Relictors company markings?

Anyone know how the Relictors chapter denotes what company the are apart of? They are listed as a Codex chapter, however all pictures I have seen show them with gray shoulder pad rims which would be non-codex. There are also no markings on kneepads that I have seen. Anyone know for sure how they denote what company they are with? Incidentally I am aware there are only 200 now so it doesn't matter too much now, but before getting jumped by the grey knights is what I was looking for

I know it is not canon, I stated that in the text. I was presenting one possible avenue of fluff the Relictors can go down

From what I recall from older descriptions of it, the codex gives many examples of markings, the main point being that you have markings. It really isn't so strict. The codex even recommends changing up your markings periodically to confuse your foe.

So for the Relictors, whose ominous appearance would be marred by gaudy colored trim, I would go with a company number or a cool coat of arms somewhere prominent (kneepads, greaves, in one corner of a pauldron). Or if they're really understrength, or you just don't feel like marking them, you can go without company markings at all.

Codex chapters don't have to adhere to every little section of the Codex. Really, the most important thing when considering whether a chapter is a "codex chapter" is whether or not they use the Codex Astartes as their primary source for operational guidelines - big things like chapter size, organization, chain of command, preferred strategies and tactics, etc. Markings are what players focus on only because it's one of the only ways to show your models follow the codex.
