So, for this, I need a few things;
Was Monarchia post- or pre-Nikea, so I can know whether to give them Librarians? I think it'd be cool for them to have psychic powers unleashed during that battle.

I also need at least four Colchisian-sounding names, at least one of which should be a two word name like Argel Tal or Kor Phaeron.
And, if you feel really generous, maybe even come up with some equipment loadouts. I think at least one should wear Terminator Armour, but that's just me.

However, I'd suggest that your story is quite out of character for Lorgar. Lorgar fell to Chaos because he wasn't strong enough, mentally, to handle the rejection of the Emperor. He lashed out at Guilliman because he was throwing a tantrum, and he knew Guilliman wouldn't hit him back. Even though Guilliman would have stomped his head in, Lorgar knew Guilliman was the model of restraint and reason that he wasn't. The same reason people throw things when they get mad, or sociopaths kick animals or beat their spouses. Lorgar wouldn't strike the Emperor because he was a coward. He worshiped the Emperor more than anything. Not just as a father, but as a god (father, da dum chsshh). His anger at Guilliman was because Guilliman was everything he was not, and everything that the Emperor expected of his "sons", whereas Lorgar was a "failure". That's why he turned to Chaos. He didn't get the acceptance and validation he craved from the Emperor, and shattered by the rejection, he went elsewhere looking for "truth" (really what he wanted were the soothing lies Chaos told him). But at Monarchia, Lorgar was still obsessed with the Emperor, and would never have struck him.

However, I always thought that no matter how psychicly powerful the Emperor is, he is still human. So a superhuman wielding a powered mace could likely do him in. Mind you, Horus and all...

Psychically disabling a small army seems like small potatoes. Especially since he created them and probably would know their psychic "off switch" so to speak.

Besides, any violence against the Emperor would have been met by him and Guilliman being teleported off the planet, and his flagship nuking the site from orbit. I just thought he'd be a man with fancy armour, a fancy sword and a massive set of talons, and his only real strengths would be his skill-at-arms and psychic powers. Also, I didn't see him as an aggressive psyker, more of an observer from afar.
