Scythes - upper side = under side ?

Use the same paint scheme at both sides with models like the necron scythes ?
Or a simple scheme, maybe single color, for the underside like real fliers?

Actually started with a 'multicolor' scheme:

TiA

Well I can't see the images, but it'd depend on your army color scheme.

My Necrons started out all metal and black with the obvious green. With the new models, I've been adding gold now.

I'm to the point where I'm about to paint my other vehicles, and I'm in a similar situation with deciding how to do them.

With my Night Scythes, I'm probably just going to do it black on both sides with Necron symbols only on the top. If I were to do any variation, I'd use my airbrush to give a slight rust to the underside to fake some bounced light (Their bases are being done in a rust/orange wasteland look)

If you've got a ceramic look to your Necron force, then there'd be some better options as far as alternating color. I'd put a dark or warm color on the top, and a lighter or cooler color on the underside. For mine though it's either Black, Silver or Gold. :S

The few scythes I have seen , had a main color plus 'glowing effect' ( greenish rather often ) and its a faction with techy attitude and clean or weathered metal theme usually.
With heraldric or camo schemes a decision for the underside is easy. The "necron-style" however throws me off course there. Instead of painting on and on and owning a completed duo of scythes, I am looking at them in their painted/grey 50%ness.....

Xenobond wrote:Whoa.
