The ACA stands, how will you cope?

So, we've all see the news. The court held today that the Affordable Care Act was not a massive overreach of federal power, but was, in fact, the most regressive tax hike in American history.

For me personally, it's going to have a pretty big impact. My current health insurance (the limited liability kind) will become illegal to own in a couple of years, which means I'm going to become uninsured. Furthermore, I'm not going to qualify for government aid in buying new, legal insurance, as I make over 150% of the federal poverty line. This might mean that, as implied, I could afford insurance (as the supreme court said "it's not that expensive"), except for the fact that I'm shelling out $250 to pay back my college student loans, which are neither deferrable (thanks, congress), nor are they defaultable (thanks, congress). As such, despite making too much money for assistance, I'm living hand to mouth despite working a nearly full time job, and living with my wife, who IS working a full time job.

As far as I can tell, the only way I can possibly afford the roughly $150-200 per month for insurance, or pay the roughly $300 in taxes for not being insured is for my wife and I to sell most of our stuff and move from our crummy two-bedroom apartment into a crummier studio apartment. It might well be worse than that if the price of food continues to rise so sharply.

Anyways, I'm wondering how other people will cope with the law. If you play 40k, you're probably not at the absolute bottom of the economic ladder and so, like me, probably don't qualify for any serious assistance or have any way of avoiding the tax. If my FLGS is anything to go by, though, owning some minis does not exactly prove that you're rich either.
