Morvahna and Woldwrath list

Based upon the spoilers in this thread: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/460695.page I've put together this Morvahna list.

The theory is that the Woldwrath provided the big hitting element to this list as well as buffing the magical attacks for Morvahna and the Druids. Morvahna herself does nothing for the Woldwrath. Druids would have Regrowth cast on them and would be used to pull enemies into attack range for the Woldwrath. The Shifting stones would stay in B2B with the Woldwrath to heal it and would probably have Restoration cast on them or the Skinwalkers.

The Woldwrath can also shoot the Electricity immune Druids of Orboros to put two 3" templates on them to prevent non-reach one wound infantry models charging them.

Morvahna the Autumnblade +6
Winter Argus 5
Woldwrath 20
Druids of Orboros + Druid Overseer 9
10x Tharn Bloodtrackers + Nuala the Huntress 10
5x Warpborn Skinwalkers 8
Shifting Stones 2
Farrow Bonegrinders 2

50/50

[edited list in light of new information on rules interactions]

Morvahna and Woldwrath list

Personal thoughts:

First, I think you might be loading up on infantry a tad too much. I think there's a perception that Morvahna is an "infantry warlock" but I think she really supports two non-support units and then just fills the rest up with support better. Druids are that weird hybrid of support and offense that I think while nice, she can't really maximize with what she has and don't fill in some of the holes she has if she goes too deep into infantry.

Second, I think the Farrow Bonegrinders, while nice, are not really super needed with her. They can't preserve many animi for her, and I think she actually does much better with a couple Gallows Groves instead to let her reach out furter than Craft Talisman would let her. They also even give anti-Tough, which while hard to capitalize on, really help her projection ability.

Thirdly, the Winter Argus is an odd choice for her. She really won't find much use for its animus I feel most times, and it lacks really much to support her. My personal suggestion, a variation of my initial list with her and a Woldwrath I got from antoher forum, would be this:

Morvahna, the Autumnblade
- Gnarlhorn Satyr
- Woldwrath
Blackclad Wayfarer
Gallows Grove x2
Shifting Stones
Shifting Stones + Stone Keeper
Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew
Tharn Bloodttrackers (Max) + Nuala
Warpborn Skinwalkers (Max)

Pretty much taking the points for the Winter Argus and Druids and tossing into more support. I think Min. Stones and Bonegrinders is a bit underdoing it with her. Stones, Gobbers, Groves, all add up to give her more tools to get things done and get them there alive. The Blackclad can do some fun abusing its animus, and is also just as good a beacon for the Lightning Storm gun as the unit is. More so with his manueverability, I feel. And the Gnarlhorn is especially nice since it has one of the three buffs Circle that can actually even go on a Woldwrath, that being the one that makes its auto-hitting charge attack MAT 8, or even letting it trample far enough to matter.

And stuff.

The Winter Argus is optional. It'll be another beast I'll be trying out since I won't have one until September. I like the idea if taking a Shadowhorn Satyr with her. There are too many non combatants in your list for my tastes. Farrow Bonegrinders and two Gallows Groves are the same points I could experiment with both.

Morvahna and Woldwrath list

Morvahna I think supports quality, not quantity, when it comes to infantry. The Druids or Bloodtrackers are more or less on their own about, and the Druids also don't synergize with her in other areas, such as not triggering her feat and low volume of attacks. I find Morvahna as a spell-slinger herself, and Eruption of Life as well as Influence allows her to go on fairly impressive killing sprees against swarms, and Circle infantry normally isn't what you take against things heavier than that.

And note it's the Gnarlhorn (big ram one) that I am noting. Its animus can actually go onto the Woldwrath, it hits harder, and so on.

And stuff.
