Ok, generally I see lords run with the HKB vow. You are going to get better advice on the armylist section or the tactics section about these builds. I have not been playing my Bretonnians lately so I am not in a position to give good tactical advice on them (although I am fond of the silver lance on my Hippogryf lord).

You will find alot of good info on the www.roundtable-bretonnia.org website which is dedicated to the army since you are new to it (sorry that my computer skillz are lacking as far as posting a link).
