				<description><![CDATA[ Hey guys, recently I developed a liking towards Necrons, but I am not so sure what to get.  <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0"> <br />  I have:<br /> <br /> 20X Necron Warrior Phalanx<br /> 5X Deathmarks <br /> 1X Annihalation Barge<br /> 1X Overlord<br /> 1X Nemesor Zahndrek <br /> 1X Vargard Obyron<br /> 1X Nightsythe<br />   <br /> Now what should I get. I have a 2500pt Tournament coming up, and I dont think I have the appropriate units.  <img src="/s/i/a/053f30f6773034eb25223d86f0e00d8d.gif" border="0"><br /> Any ideas? <img src="/s/i/a/98211dee9c461fcb24c29d4004f43f7f.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ 20X Necron Warrior Phalanx <br /> 5X Deathmarks <br /> 1X Annihalation Barge <br /> 1X Overlord <br /> 1X Nemesor Zahndrek <br /> 1X Vargard Obyron <br /> 1X Nightsythe<br /> <br /> I'd add in some Wraiths (with 2/3 of the unit with Whip Coils) Immortals, a Triarch Stalker and possibly the Illuminor or a Ghost Ark with another 10x Warriors.<br /> Also, Doom Scythes are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(280);'>OP</span> when you can manoeuvre them correctly.<br /> I'd also lose the Deathmarks and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> choice, and maybe add a C'tan for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> defense.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Welcome Xenos brother.... <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> I love my crons! (I even played the old dex in 5th...).<br /> <br /> Ok, a few questions;<br /> Is the tourney sixth?  If yes, a lot of things are still flushing out - many of the old cron strategies and lists might not work any more<br /> *  nightfighting was nerfed so those lists are not as effective <br /> * dangerous terrain is not as dangerous so those lists are not as effective<br /> * the overcosted necron flyers are no longer overcosted due to flyer rules<br /> * Transports have shorter ranges now to unload troops, so the night scythe is amazing now...<br /> etc.<br /> <br /> Ok, first, Play as many games as fast as you can' learn the army!  that will help you decide what you want.<br /> <br /> There is a lot you can do with crons and more than one uni-build (well, there were some popular builds) especially in sixth.<br /> <br /> A few weaknesses you will need to cover:<br /> * Ranged shooting - necrons for the most part are short range.  Make sure to get some crypteks to help with this, or at that point level consider a doomsday ark.  It was worthless in the last rules, but the new blast rules and how many termies we might see, it will be good.<br /> * strong <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>:  They just don't have a lot of it.  Wraiths are your friend, but be careful wtih the ctan - they are WAY overcosted now (after losing the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2d6</span> pen) and their save is terrible.<br /> * tomb spiders - the ability to repair hull points is very useful now, at that point level you should have a couple.<br /> * Flyers - get them.  you need them for taking out enemy flyers and to deposit troops anywhere....<br /> <br /> Best of luck. But first I would say play, then play, then play some more.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ok.  To make the list better You need some crypteks.<br /> <br /> If you insist on using DeathMarks Have ObyRon apart of the squad and increase it to 10.  Add the Cryptek of Despair using Veil and if the enemy gets to close use the Abysmal Staff with its flame template and wounding on a 2+.  Using Obyron and the Despair Cryptek you can go in and out of the game and can make a new squad for the 2+ wounds.<br /> <br /> With 10 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(344);'>DM</span> you will have the ability to fire 20 shots and being able to wound on a 2+.<br /> <br /> Delete the Overlord.<br /> Zahn attached to Phalanx.<br /> Ctans aren't as good anymore but if you feel as though you still need to have some crazy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> yea its good.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ In regards to the list I would largely be tempted just to use large squads of warriors, they can deal with most armour(apart from flyers) decently with their gauss weapons. Just my view on things from my experience, I'm sure everyone will have different opinions. And only a very general look at what units you should be going for. <br /> <br /> <b>Special Characters</b>: Bad or OK.<br /> <b>Overlord</b>: OK.<br /> <b>Overlord with Warscythe on a Catacomb Command Barge</b>: Good. Always take this as your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> unless you have a very good reason not to.<br /> <b>Destroyer Lord</b>: Bad<br /> <br /> <b>Royal Court Necron Lords:</b> Bad<br /> <b>Royal Court Crypteks</b>: Good. Specifically Eldritch Lance, Solar Pulse (always take one, preferably two of these. One of the best pieces of wargear in the game) and Voltaic Staffs are the three best bits of equipment.<br /> <br /> <b>Necron Wariors</b>: Ok. Should always have a transport and preferably crypteks for extra shooty.<br /> <b>Necron Immortals</b>: Ok. Always take gauss weapons for the glancing hits.<br /> <br /> <b>Ghost Ark</b>: Good. 				<description><![CDATA[ let me start by saying i have limited experience playing against necrons, and have never ever played them myselves but...<br /> <br /> <br /> I don't know if I would always take gauss weapons on immortals.<br /> <br /> The extra hits from tesla weapons have on numerous occasions actually generated more hits against my orks than the rest of the combined non 6 shots.  and if you can get rear armor or are shooting at a dakka jet.... some potential there.<br /> <br /> I know I have lost my jet to a squad of 3 immortals in a single turn. 2 missed, one rolled a 6, getting +2 hits, then rolled 3  <img src="/s/i/a/952e23cd79da52378121f005b5465fb7.gif" border="0"> 's for pen... to which I failed all 3 evade saves, and my jet crashed and burned.  <img src="/s/i/a/7ae18ba11c7ba79f6898e876a4b8ba4a.gif" border="0"> <br /> ]]></description>
