I know about "Prospero Burns" but dont want to read about Space Wolves as i dont like them and think that the book will depict the thousand sons getting majorly beaten up. Any help on this would be appreciated.

There's also one Thousand Sons character in Battle for the Abyss and another one in The Outcast Dead, both Horus Heresy books.

I haven't read them yet myself, but I think the Thousand Sons are also antagonists in at least some of the Space Wolf Omnibus books.
