				<title>IG, Nids, and my own City of Death. A WIP</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Welcome to my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(148);'>WIP</span> blog. Dragging my feet on one army was bad enough, but now that I have somewhat started nids and have an idea for my own table in my head, I needed to find some real motivation. That is why I am starting this blog. I thoroughly enjoy playing the table top game and modeling, painting on the other hand is not something I am a huge fan of. <br /> <br /> Some things you will see in here are my take on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>, Nids, as well as potential Inquisitors and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span> models. I am fairly new to modeling and painting, but as I progress I will only get better and more detailed. Everything in here is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(148);'>WIP</span>, nothing has truly been finished. C&C are very much welcome along with suggestions and ideas. <br /> <br /> To start off here are some tyranids I have been working on. <br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/14/401595_md-Hormagaunt%20Brood.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> This is a hormagaunt brood, I purchased 12 that were already assembled and 12 that were not. So far of the 12 I am working on, 4 are put together. I am not sure if I like the paint scheme done by the previous owner and may <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(215);'>SG</span> it and do one of my own. <br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/14/401594_md-Injured%20hormagaunt.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> Here is a somewhat converted gaunt I have been working on. I have never really been a fan of nids that did not have some battle damage. So I am attempting to add something each one, considering it is a horde army I may not be able to hold out on that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span><br /> <br /> Onto <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span><br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/14/401596_md-Storm%20Troopers.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> Here is my storm trooper squad. I am working on giving them all goggles and more carapace pieces to make them stand out more. <br /> <br /> I will get more pictures of my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> as I take them out of the boxes.<br /> <br /> And lastly, my City of Death Concept <br /> <br /> <img src="http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/14/401598_md-Table.jpg" border="0" /><br /> <br /> Might be hard to see, but here is the general idea. I wanted to make a table that would be fully changeable, but also maintain the core concept of a major city: city streets. The boxes you see int he picture are going to be <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> terrain and other buildings mounted on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(758);'>mdf</span>. The pieces that are the same size will fit into indents put into the foam board that I will be using as a base, with a more solid base underneath that. So the buildings matching the same sizes will be able to be changed and altered out as the new terrain placing rules in 6th.<br /> <br /> In addition to that, the base of the table will be divided into 2' by 2' sections so those 6 can be changed or have new pieces added to it. <br /> <br /> The dashed lines around the buildings will beside walks, helping establish the indents needed for the based terrain. If I found the correct dimensions of a land raider it should be able to drive down the main streets just fine. <br /> <br /> Thanks for checking in. 				<title>IG, Nids, and my own City of Death. A WIP</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Wow, it looks lie you have your work cut out for you. I can't wait to see where this goes. Just my opinion, but I think you should try experimenting with differently-shaped buildings when you finish the initial board. Like, after you finish all of the square-ish buildings, try making a few buildings that are more odd-looking. Kinda like the giant wedge-shaped buildings in New York, or even a more Circular building. It'll add to the tactical mayhem of Cities of Death.<br /> <br /> EDIT: what do you plan for your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> and Nids? Like, is there a story behind them, linking htem to the terrain, and what lists do you have for them?]]></description>

				<title>IG, Nids, and my own City of Death. A WIP</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ That is a great idea. I was planning on making additional pieces, but round ones and odd shapped ones was not something I had thought of. I will definitely look into that.<br /> <br /> I have not come up with names yet, but the basic idea of my armies is there was a planet that makes contact with the tyranids. An <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> regiment in the area was sent to respond. Upon further surveillance of the planet, it look as though it is primarily a lost cause except for the capital city in which the local militia has taken refuge.
