Deployment.



Orks won the roll, deployed first, and moved first.

Turn 1

All Ork forces move forward. Epidemius, Great Unclean One, Nurgle Daemon Prince, 3 squads of Plaguebearers enter the battle.

Shooting: Vehicles and bikers continue to zoom forward. The Great Unclean One and NDP unleash a foul plague that decimates 13 Gretchin who in their weakness die instead of turning to Nurgle for forgiveness and love. Tally has begun to grow. Ork shooting ineffective. Minesquig deploys a mine.

Templar Land Raiders move forward.

Shooting: The Templar gunline unloads on the Nob Bikers zooming towards them but only succeed in killing a single biker. Warboss Kaz'drak laughed as the squiglicker collapsed under the massive shell of a Vindicator.

Turn 2

Remaining Daemons warp onto the battlefield. Nob Bikers and Deffkoptas enter on the cursed Imperial's left flank. Plaguebearers and Orks move forward.

Shooting: The Deffkoptas fail to hit the fast moving Taurus. The Minesquig deploys another mine as its Killkannon shot goes horribly awry. Aura of Decay slays the remaining Gretchin and Tally has reached its full potential. The followers of Nurgle swell with daemonic energies, cackling maniacally as they turn towards the coming slaughter. Other Ork shooting succeeds at chipping away at hullpoints.

Assault: Nob Bikers crash into both sides of the Imperial gunline tearing vehicles asunder with their mighty Power Klaws.

Elysian Air Cavalry units fly in behind the Ork lines. Templar Land Raiders move forward and deploy their killy cargo.

Shooting: Both Deff Dreads are blown to pieces by Templar shooting. A Battlewagon falls to Vendetta Lascannon fire. Another Vendetta destroys a Trukk. One squad of Deffkoptas falls to Imperial firepower.

Assault: Two squads of Black Templar warriors charge the Nob Bikers and suffer three casualties to Overwatch shooting. They are beaten soundly in combat, but boldly stay stuck in.

Turn 3

Coming in hot on the tails of the Elysian Vendetta squadrons are a trio of hot rod jockeys in Dakkajets. The forces of Evil surge forward. Nurglings and Plaguebearers emerge on the Templar gunline, merrily spreading blight and pestilence.

Shooting: Grotzookas slam into Razorbacks, wrecking one. A Waagh is sounded and the Dakkajets down three Vendettas and severely damage another. Lootas fail to damage the Vendettas.

Assault: The Nob Bikers remain locked in combat with the Templar Castellans and Chaplain.

The remaining Elysian Air Cavalry swoops in.

Shooting: The Minesquig is quickly destroyed under Templar Fire. The Vendettas attempt to engage the more agile Dakkajets, but are ineffective only taking one out of the fight.

Assault: The epic battle of Bikers and Templars continues.

Turn 4:
Nurglings and Plaguebearers slowly close in on the Black Templars.

Shooting: A crazed Mek Boy sends a bolt of manic energy through the rear door of a Vendetta causing it to erupt in a burst of bright green fire. Remaining Ork shooting slays 3 terminators.

Assault: The Nob Bikers break and flee. Plaguebearers smash into the Terminators, their noxious touch melting armor and flesh.

GAME CALLED


At this point KP was roughly equal, but most of the Ork and Daemon armies were still lurching towards the Imperial lines.
