				<description><![CDATA[ Flyers with Vtol ability can as can deep strikers. However I think we would have to apply common sense to this, as in what the landing pad looks like, if it is off the ground or not, etc... If it is off the ground with no way of acessing it via a stable ramp then I would say "no", otherwise if it is on the ground then yes. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Not actually true.<br /> <br /> The rules for the Skyshield state that moving on or off the pad counts as moving through difficult terrain. No distinction is made for any particular troop type, so vehicles can move on or off just like anybody else.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I believe there is a rule in the skyshield section abojut skimmers not taking difficult terrain tests if it's unfurled.<br /> <br /> Would seem to indicate that vehicles can be up there <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(110);'>RAI</span>-wise.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(111);'>RAW</span>-wise there really is no argument against it. It's pretty clear that they can.<br /> <br /> there it is:<br /> <br /> 'Jetbikes and Skimmers dom not need to take difficult terrain tests for moving on to or off of an unfurled Skyshield landing pad.]]></description>

In fact, none of the "fortifications" on pages 114-117 are defined as Terrain Type:Fortification.<br /> <br /> You could no more attack the skyshield landing pad and destroy it than you could the aegis defence line.<br /> <br /> It (the skyshield) is a piece of terrain, nothing more, nothing less.]]></description>

The supports on it look as though they're some kind of collapsable hydraulic thingy. I assume it raises up for stuff to take off/land more conveniently and also whenever it needs to deploy its defences.]]></description>
