My main project at the moment is a display scenery piece for my 40K display shelf. This will be a centrepiece and background for all of my 40K models. The concept is that it is a Dark Angels Fortified Monestry being defended by a small band of DAs (The DV set for now) against all comers (my Orks, Tyranids, and of coarse the DV Chaos) with a few Ultramarine reinforcements. And whatever I add to my collection in the future.



It's made out of a Bastion, Shrine of the Aquila, and Basilica Administratum with some plasticard and other bits and pieces thrown in.

This weekend I have finished assembly of the main pieces, made all the extra walls and things out of plasticard, and undercoated the whole lot with Army Painter Angels Green. Then I base coated the Aquila with Calatham Brown, the added 2 coats of Dwarf Bronze and a Nulin Oil wash. I've also done a bit of highlighting since the photo was taken.
What you see in the photo is in 4 pieces, plus the board. I'll keep it like that for ease of handling while I'm painting it, then probably glue it all together. I still have a long way to go.



I'm also working on finishing the AOBR Orks, and of course the DV set. Here is my first DV model. I'm not happy with the face (if any one can point me a tutorial for faces that would be great) but other than that I like it.
