All the needed items can be bought from any Halloween store that sells make-up. cotton swabs and make-up sponges are a lot cheaper at drugstores!
ingredients:
cotton swabs
make-up sponges
liquid latex
bruise or wound stack make-up
black make-up
white make-up for bones
blood gel and blood for fresh wounds
cotton balls
water-based lubricant (KY or the cheaper stuff)
stipple sponge (you can buy them, or use a rough-textured sponge.)
sweat mixture (water in a 2oz. spray bottle, with a few drops of green food coloring and a tablespoon of baby oil.)

Step 1. clean the area thats getting make-up thoroughly, and shave if possible.

Step 2. get some liquid latex and cotton swabs to apply it, make thin rings where you want the bones or woulds to be.


Step 3. tear off small pieces of cotton and stick them to the rings


step 4. carefully add more latex on top of the cotton, shaping it as you go. you can always add more latex and cotton till you get the desired effect! to speed up this step, you can also dry the latex with a blow dryer, just be careful not to burn your skin!


step 5. going from light to dark, shade the face for a sunken look, and blend the outside edges of the rings.


step 6. white the bones, and add black to the inside ring carefully adding texture to the split flesh. at this stage if a fresh wound is wanted a purple, black, or red base can be substituted for the bone.


step 7. using a stipple sponge, detail out the outside of the wound to blend the latex seam. I used deep colors for the longer-dead look. for a very dead look gray can be used, for fresher dead, use more red! lastly, I hit the inside of the wound with KY to keep the "bones" wet for hours. for blood effects, use a stipple sponge and blood gel, followed by regular blood.


step 8. shake the sweat mixture, then mist till happy for a wet zombie pirate effect. if a more drenched look is preferred, a light brushing of KY works to give a ultra-shine!
