I've played 40k off and on since the days of Rogue Trader but have to take regular breaks from it due to being in the Navy. Lack of storage space has always meant I had to keep armies small but I recently moved into a house where I can keep all my crap when I'm away at sea so I can finally get myself a decent sized army.

I've flirted with nearly all the armies over the years but have finally settled on Orks. I got quite a nice bargain on ebay a bit ago for a mainly painted army, (tabletop standard but it's a good base I can build on. Most of them don't even need stripping!) and I've bought a few additions since then as well.

Also managed to join a group that plays fairly regularly as well so I can get some games in, it's all friendly games (so far!) so the fact I tend to buy units because I like the look of them, rather than because they are actually any good, hasn't affected my boyz performances.

Friendly games seem to be the saviour of a lot of models. Glad it's not just me.
