Out of 36 finecast miniatures purchased by myself or sent to me by customers so far, only one has not needed either replacement or extensive cleaning and repair work with the old green stuff.

They are getting better though. The average time I spend preparing each finecast miniatures is going down every month or so. In another year or two, I expect they'll finally have a decent product on their hands.

Get yourself some liquid green stuff. It's invaluable for quickly filling in airbubbles and the like. Also, normal superglue works really well for repairing the fine-cast resin when bits break off.

I've yet to find a reliable means of straightening fine cast after it bends or wilts under a painting light though.
