				<title>Post-Unification, Pre-heresy Chaplains</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ One question that I've asked myself alot from reading <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> is why is the post of Chaplain allowed in the Astartes before the 2nd Founding? It seems to me that the Emperor should have done away with the position due to its name being opposed to the tenets of the Imperial Truth. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ If i remember rightly the pre-heresy chaplains spread the imperial truth and stopped the marines from adopting alien ideas they were there to keep the legions "pure" from out side influences to ensure there utter dedication. The only chaplains that were worshipers were the word bearers if i recall correctly.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I too found this curious. I imagine it was a tradition thing, sort of how Generals are still called Generals (General Officer) without anything "general" about them.<br /> <br /> Or I could totally be off - the question is still puzzling to me.]]></description>
