RavenWing Jet Bikers

So i have always liked the idea of imperial jet bikes and especially for the RavenWing since there Company master has one i have i have my own idea about what there rules should be (Which i will post later) but i want to know what every one else thinks.Iill give you a little bit of the lore i have for them to give you and idea of what im thinking about.

So not all the Dark Angels on Caliban at the time of the fall had gone renegade in fact some were still loyal to the emperor and to terra but like the rest that chaos Gods Scattered them through Time (and Maybe space) well Ten Thousand years a small warp rift opened up on the surface of the Rock and a Hand full of demons emerged but before the Dark Angels could Eliminate them 5 mysterious figures flew out of the rift and Slaughtered the Demons. when the DA made contact with these men they recognized them and Space Marines Clad in Ancient Armor of Black and when there Identity as Terran Veterans of the First Chapter had been established (Along with there loyalty) they were reinstated to the RavenWing.

There is still more to the lore but thats enough for now. so tell me what you think and what rules and options you think they should have (along with there points value).

I like the idea of marines on jetbikes..

Maybe point them out as bikes with a +10 pts for the jetbike capablities.

Keep all the normal bike options, they are just now considered jetbikes not regular bikes.

Give that a try..

Andyman

RavenWing Jet Bikers

Maybe not 10 points... Jetbike over a bike just lets you go over impassable terrain and you dont have to take dangerous terrain checks for difficult you cross (but do for land in/leave) You also get an improved turboboost. 10 points is a bit much, for no improved toughness. For a SM bike, I'd go 5 points, as they are slightly overcosted already. For a Choas Bike maybe a bit more.

Good feedback.

Give it a run!

My experience with jetbikes have been with Eldar, so they just never seemed to perform...maybe toughness 5 will work better

Thats the cool thing about this game..if you have fun friends who are open minded, you can make up all kinds of stuff!!

Andyman

RavenWing Jet Bikers

5 points is stupidly low. It's not only ignore terrain but also allowing up to 36" of movement in one turn completely ignoring terrain.... that's huge. From someone who plays both Eldar Seer Councils and Nob Bikers the difference is huge between their movements. 10 is solid for normal guys, 20 for ICs if you ask me.
