Legal or not

Whats up Dakka? So for my blood angels army I use a sang priest and libby of course. I made both of them using the sanguinary gaurd models and painted them according to the right color sceme for both of the types of character types. I have been playing games at my local hobby shop for a while now but have never entered in tournys. So after saying all that my question is. If I were to enter a tournement (GW or other) do you have to use the actual model for that character or can I use mine who are all the bitz from the sanguinary guard box but painted to be a libby and sang priest?

As long as you differentiate them from any sanguinary guard you might have in the army, have them painted so it's somewhat clear what they are (which you have), and have their wargear WYSIWYG, then there should be absolutely no problem at all. Conversion is an accepted tradition.

Also, this probably shouldn't be in proposed rules. Maybe YMDC or one of the P&M subforums?

As long as they are WYSIWYG and you can visually tell the 2 apart than I don't see a problem.

When converting, also remember the Rule of Cool. The better it looks, the less likely it is to cause problems.

The only opinion that actually matters is the Tournament Organizers. You should always ask your TO ahead of time.

And that's all that matters.
