A tale of 3 Juggernauts

Yay me, finally got my brand spanking new Skullcrushers of Khorne box, thanks for the 2-day delay GW. Anywho, as I've been planning what to do with these monsters for about 3 weeks, it took me all of 3 hours to model them up how I wanted, and then use the remaining bits to dress up my 10 fantasy chaos knights I also have in the works. Tons of bits, all of it GONE now. Never have I so fully utilized a set like this, especially so fast. I may invest in another if I ever want to grow my fantasy army in the future.

Without furthur ado, I'll give the pre-painted guys.

Jugg #1 (the baseline) became my future fantasy lord. I was quite happy to see they had enough room on their base to be at least somewhat dynamicly posed compared to Chaos Knights (found that out the hard way, was used to modeling for 40k).

Juggernaut #2 became my Khorne Lord for 40k. I slapped him on a 60mm base, then threw some arms on him from a normal 40k set. Unfortunately, I was fresh out of Khorne Berzerker bodies and should pads, so I used the fantasy bits. The sword was a chopped fantasy lance mixed with a chainsword handle. Backpack was standard, the Sigil is an extra collar chopped in half. Other than that, not much else needed. He looks Khorny enough and he's got a gun - 40k passable.

Juggernaut #3 became my Skulltaker on a Jug. Still trying to get the guy a cape or something for his back - maybe shave off his spines from the original naked demon and add them on somehow. The feet were carefully cut out and replaced, and the right sword arm was dramatically reposed. Like all my demons, his silly tongue was cut out of his head. Good demons should be seen and not heard. He'll get dressed up a bit more in the future, though the arm pose and feet were enough of a PITA for now.

One thing is for sure, I need moar skullz....a LOT more skulls. Anybody know where I can get cheap skulls in bulk?

Very nice work. After seeing this I am SO tempted to buy the box. I really shouldn't but I want it bad.

You can buy skulls from Secret weapon miniatures:

http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=47_55&products_id=230

They are a tad pricey but they are good quality and I bought a pack last year and still have a ton left over.

That's nice usage of the set. I have been curious how it could be converted to 40K. I agree the lord could use some shoulder pads.
