Problem with Master Models Liquid Cement

I'd never used the stuff before, but tons of people swear by it so I decided to give it a try. I clipped off the hand of one of my cultists to add a new plastic bit to differentiate him from the others and after almost 14 hours, the plastic was still soft where the bond had been made. It was all stretchy with a texture akin to old bubblegum. I was under the assumption that the bond would be a solid plastic, not this rubbery material. How long does this stuff usually take to dry fully? Am I doing something wrong to have this happening?

The join is usually solid after an hour and is completely bonded overnight. It shouldn't be soft at all at fourteen hours.

How liquid was the liquid you used? You can sometimes get a bit of jelly-like material that is mostly-dried glue in the spout or nozzle of some liquid poly glues.
