1500pt orks casual

HQ

2 Big meks- SAG, eavy armour, ammo runt

Troops

2×28 grots w/ 2 runtherds

2×20 shoota boyz- nob w/ BP

Elites

3×15 lootas

Heavy support

2×3 kannons

2 kannons

How's that for a gunline! Basicly the grots form a wall in front of the rest of the army to give them cover while everything else dakkas away. I use to run grot walls back in 5th to protect my lootas, so might as well use them to protect my hole army. I know a grot wall doesnt sound like it will work, and if the opponent knows what he's doing and takes them out first it probably wont, but often more times than not the opponent will be torn at wasting ammo at them and ends up going for the real threat behind them. I know the list seems super low on boyz, my hope is to wait them in the back a couple turns and try to take out as much stuff as I can, before I worry about running them up to claim any objectives, and obviously the grots are the rear objective holders assuming they make it that long. Let me know what you think, is it an epic pie plate waiting to happen also I dont have any dakkajets so thats out of the question.
1500pt orks casual

Lots of dakka. but remember orks are terraBAD at shoopting. Yes I use lootas in my list but only 15. I would get rid of kannons and 2 groups of loots for some forces who can get into ur enemys face. Like storm boys/warbikers/dakkajet/deffkotas. Idk I play my orks pretty speed freaky so im used to getting to the other side of the table as fast as I can.

Ya I hear you and I also usually run more of a speed freaks list myself, im just trying to try out something different and see how it does, and an all shooty ork army is pretty different

Perhaps I should have 2 ten man squads of lootas and then get a decked out squad of flashgitz with the points, though I know they still arent that great they would go with the general theme, and possibly do some decent damage.
