				<description><![CDATA[ I use acrylic gel from art shops to get water effect, which seems to be a bit cheaper than purpose-made water effect.  It's reasonably transparent when dried, but I haven't experimented with heavy layers as I use it to portray the surface of a deep ocean and just paint over it and apply varnish.  It may well suffice for smaller scale work however.<br /> <br /> EDIT: perhaps any Dakka members with experience of both can provide a comparison between water effect and acrylic gel medium.]]></description>
