The assailant fled in a dark BMW. No arrests have been announced.<br /> <br /> Applewhite tells the Lakeland newspaper that he doesn't know why he was attacked. Many Long Island residents have complained about being without power for two weeks following Superstorm Sandy.<br /> <br /> The 34-year-old worker for Lakeland Electric said nothing was stolen. 				<description><![CDATA[ Pretty standard human nature to be honest (not that it is right, it's just it happens all the time).<br /> <br /> Since we cannot abuse and attack the source of the problem, we look for something else to blame in order to justify our anger, even if that object is so far removed from the cause of the problem that it will have no affect on the situation.<br /> <br /> In this case, because some loser can't cope with the fact that hurricane damage is not an easy thing to fix, he vents his frustration at the poor chap having to fix it.<br /> <br /> I see it happen all the time on my commute to work, if the train is late, then since the passengers can't get at the useless managers who couldn't run a booze-up in a brewery,/moron that stole the signal cables/intangible issue then it's the guy selling tickets that gets both barrels, even though there is literally nothing he can do to change the situation.<br /> <br /> Long story short, some guy is blaming a single snowflake for causing an avalanche, and is too dumb to realise his behaviour is moronic.]]></description>
