Planet Strike and Line Breaker

So I think the new sub objectives are great for the game. It is very rare now to have a tie game. We still play Planet Strike quite a bit and try to use the 6th edition rules when we can for those games. We play with First Blood and Slay the Warlord. We don't play with line breaker because there really isn't a way to do that. I think haveing two sub objectives versus three gives more of a chance for a tie.

So is there a way to make linebreaker work for a Planet Strike game? If not is there another sub objective that could replace it so that we have 3 total for our games?

Maybe have it be the opposite from the attackers?

What about having a scoring or denial unit in each table section, and split the table into 4 equal sections?

I'd have it be a declared zone in the middle of the table the defender is defending.

If the attacker has a scoring unit in it, he gets Line Breaker.

If the attacker does not have a scoring unit in it, the defender gets Line Breaker. Obviously Line Breaker isn't a great name for it but thats not important.

I was thinking about something like this also but the way planet strike plays the general objectives kind of do the same thing. Most of the time the defender ends up setting up all the bastions in the middle anyways because you never know which table edge the defender is going to come in from. I like the concept of linebreaker because it forces you to move a unit to a far away area that put it in danger. I fell the planet strike games everyone is on the middle anyways that it may no quite work out as well to just have a scoring unit in the middle. Now if that defender declared zone was a corner or some other area that might work.

The idea of using the 4 corners might work, and having a scoring or denial unit in each or even 3 out of 4 might work. It would force you to spread out your forces more.
