After getting some more bits to finish up my renegade guardsmen, I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a paint scheme to justify such great models. I finally found a really cool colour scheme that I want to try out. I believe it's the concept art for the Space Marine video game. Unfortunately, my painting ineptitude is hindering my ability to translate it onto the miniatures...




Anyone have any suggestions on a recipe to recreate it? There are certainly a lot of different hues and colours, but if someone could help me recreate the colour scheme (with obvious differences), that would be fantastic.

I'll post pictures as WIP if someone could give me a decent recipe.

I'm using Mechanicus Standard Grey, washed with Nuln Oil as a base.

The gray fabric is a very warm gray, almost brown. I would start with a medium gray (possibly even a light gray) and then play around with multiple layers of GW black and brown washes.
