For 1k, with 25% of your points invested in a dreadknight, I would not take the paladins, max out the strikes, 2 psycannons, then maybe another squad, needs more scoring bodies

I also agree that you need more scoring units. Against this list, you just need to kill 16 marines and you win on objectives usually.

Is there any way you can shave points and trade the inquisitor for Grand master? Making the Paladin or the Knights scoring with Grand Strategy would also work.

Otherwise, I would downgrade the Paladins to regular terminators to make them scoring, maybe use the points saved to make your strike squads 10 man units.

Others have addressed your unit count which I also would have. But personally, I don't like the point investment in the Inquisitor. I think his major advantage is his cheapness. If you stripped him of utility, you could have enough points to fill out your Strike Squad and provide them with the Psycannon if that's what you really want. Otherwise, bite the bullet and get a Librarian if you want a decent psyker.

If that is the case you will need Shrouding to mitigate damage in the shooting phase, and Quicksilver so you can forgo Halberds for Swords for more durability in the Assault Phase. Might of Titan and Sanctuary are just the gravy on top for a Librarian.
If you are going for Divination spells, then a psycannon inquisitor is just a better value.

Personally, I feel that the MASSIVE nerf that 6th edition gave to psychic hoods makes the librarian less mandatory than it was in 5th edition.

Sword is actually better for the justicar, becasue if you challenge, you will likely be up against thunderhammers, powerfists, powerclaws etc. With the sword, you will still be stiking first, so can kill them.
Great tip. I guess I never thought about challenges. The highest initiative I normally face is 4 so it will work out great! I'm glad to hear that the dreadknight will be a good buy. I love the idea of shunting into cover, dropping a template on a squad and possibly charging the next turn. If nothing else I figured it would draw attention away from the rest of my army.

I would drop the hammer on the knight, sword or dual fists is much better imo.

Psybolt is not really worth it on 5 man squads as you pay a premium for it. My standard build is 2 psycannon, hammer, 6 swords, justicar with halberd and psybolt. Its 255 but you can combat squad if needed. This way psybolt is only 2 points per model, not 5 with the smaller squads. Just something to think about

Re:GK 1000 pts with a dreadknight. Critiques wanted.

Yea I'm thinking a hammer is probably my best bet. As far as the two dreadknight list I'll likely get another one when I work up to 1250 but for now I think 1 will serve me just fine. I greatly appreciate all of the input. I'm going to be heading to the shop on thursday to grab the dreadknight and try to get it painted up as soon as I can. I'll let you know how the list fares! thanks again!
