Traitor Space Marines/Chaos Intergration

So, I wasn't 100% sure where to put this. I'm planning to play a chaos army, but having them fluff wise be traitor loyalist marines. Anyone here played as this before and give me some tips on how to theme my force a little? The fluff is that their librarian corrupted them to Chaos
Thanks in advance!

Edit: first post ever k cool.

Its actually fairly common to play a loyal chapter of marines that have fallen to chaos they are called renegades and for whatever reason they have broke from the Imperium and are now dedicated to furthering the cause of chaos.

I actually myself have a Nurgle CSM army that was formerly loyal until corruption during the Abyssal Crusade.

I think the OP means recent traitors, in contrast with the original legionarries?

The oldest (written) and most famous bit of later loyalists turning traitor is the Badab war, where one chapter eventually turned to wholly traitor, and a handful of others turned renegade but...
Basically, running it as a Blood Ravens libarian that turned to chaos, and then converted a bunch of fellow marines as well as some local workers and PDF Guard.
If you want to use C:SM, play them as Renegades. If they've already gone past the point of no return, then they're Traitors.
The difference between Renegade and Traitor is a thin line, but the way I see it, Traitor Marines have dedicated themselves to Chaos and/or the Chaos Gods, while Renegades maintain a line of individuality and intependence from both Chaos and the Imperium.

Tl;dr: If they're spiky, Traitor.
The fall to chaos is progressive and fairly inevitable once started, but that doesn't mean it always happens overnight.

Your force may be in it's beginning stages of damnation which means only its outlook has changed and functions otherwise as any chapter would.

If they are further down the line perhaps mutations have sprung up, insanity and violence more prevalent, and equipment looking decidedly less imperial as they scavenge more since they've been cut off from the munitorum.

If they've reached their apex then they will be indistinguishable from any other chaos forces. Perhaps they are fervent worshipers of one god (like the world eaters), the pantheon (iron warriors), or have no godly allegiance and wish only to sow terror and enhance their own power (night lords, red corsairs).

The cool thing is that your force can be represented at any time during their fall and the loyalist codex obviously represents them better in the beginning while the chaos dex best at their final fall.
