				<title>Can Dark Angels field all terminators</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi all<br /> just started playing <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> and played a couple of beginner tutorials at games workshop.<br /> <br /> Myself and my bro are playing 2 others at a starter game next week . They are Dark Angels and tyranids.We are both space marines.<br /> <br /> The other player said his friend fields 3x terminator sq. Its only a 600point game but can he really field 3xt sq's? What about <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> and troop choice?<br /> Can some one clarify this please and any useful army loadouts to put up a fight would be great.<br /> Thanks<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ yes, Dark angels have a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> choice that makes terminators troops. <br /> <br /> But there is no possible way to fit 3 squads into 600 pts.<br /> <br /> Belial (special character, basically company master with terminator armor) 130 pts.<br /> <br /> Deathwing terminator squad = 215 pts. add in a heavy weapon if he is smart another 20 to 30 pts.<br /> <br /> <br /> So at most he will get Belial and 2 terminator squads. If he does, then either the bucket of dice approach, or the loads of ap2 shots. Because the other guy has tyranids, I'd go for the bucket of dice approach. Squeeze as many shots in as you possibly can. The terminators will fail some saves eventually. The nids are a horde army, so they will just fall over to loads of fire.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ok, translations: so the tyranid player has a Hive tyrant, a Carnifex, 3 tyranid warriors with Devourers, and then 10 genestealers. interesting list.<br /> <br /> I'd go with the list Loricatus suggested. If the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> guy doesn't have storm shields, he will have a tough time with all those plasma shots.<br /> If he does have lots of storm shields, the librarian with null zone will make him re-roll his successful invul saves. <br /> <br /> The best thing to deal with the nids is to stay out of combat! That thunderfire cannon with its' special tremor shot does a great job at slowing them down. which gives you more precious time to deal with them.<br /> <br /> You'll definately be outmatched by both armies in assault, so try to stay out of it. and if you are cought in assault, read up on the combat tactics special rule. They really help out.]]></description>

The few that are left will loose one to ovwerwatch. If the dice gods are fickle I would sugest standing in cover so he strikes last.<br /> <br /> Use grenades in melle against the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>'s if you can not manadge to shoot them first. Remember: If you are shooting at a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span> you better be comitted to kill it. A <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span> with one wound left is just as good as one with full wounds.]]></description>

Slays horde infantry, dishes out difficult terrain (great for messing with fast armies), or can ignore cover at great range. Incredibly useful stopgap for some of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>'s blaring weaknesses.]]></description>

The Tyranid Warriors will be your first target really, if you can manage it. Keep an eye on the genestealers, and pop them if they go out into the open, otherwise, with that low a squad, hes gunna have them hugging the hills most of the match. Of the Carnifex and Hive Tyrant, focus on the tyrant first unless the carnifex starts looking like it is about a turn or so from being in assualt position. As is, hes gonna have to keep his synapse near the carnifex in order to keep it in line and on target. If you and your friend pop the Hive Tyrant and the Warriors first thing, his carnifex will sadly be mostly useless. Just beware though, because the minute that you guys pop the synapse, that carnifex will have rage.]]></description>

The Plasma Cannons and multimelta can do the same thing for cheaper.<br /> -Multi-Melta is nice for vehicle killing, also good at killing terminators and big bugs. Only one shot, shorter range than missile, but better <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>ap</span>. <br /> <br /> and darn, trying to fit in 2 tact squads, a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Dev</span> squad and  Librarian at 600 pts is hard. but I think I may have a list that works. Total comes to 595, so add a melta bomb, or swap a flamer for a melta.<br /> Librarian with Null Zone and Smite<br /> Tact squad with 10 marines. flamer and Heavy Bolter<br /> Tact squad with 10 marines. flamer and Heavy Bolter<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Dev</span> squad with 2 plasmacannons and multi-melta<br /> <br /> Use the Tact squads to mow down genestealers and warriors (take out the troops so he can't hold objectives). Also use your tact squad as protection/bubblewrap for your devastators. Keep the tacts inbetween big threats and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Devs</span>.<br /> Fire the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Devs</span> at the biggest closest threat. They should be able to kill the carnifex, hive tyrant, or the terminators in two good turns of shooting. If they get to close, force them to charge the tact squad, lose combat in enemy turn, use combat tactics, run away, then unload with the devastators on your turn again to finish them off.<br /> <br /> Use the librarian's null zone if his terminators have Storm Shields. If he doesn't then feel free to use him however you want, maybe use the rulebook powers to enhance your shooting.Make sure he is in a squad so he doesn't get picked off. <br /> <br /> Hopefully this was helpful]]></description>
