I just found 2 nearly perfect die cast vehicles and am turning them into Imperial delivery vans.



1/35 scale die cast versions of the 1950 Chevy Suburban to be exact.



They're a bit big but I think they'll look OK on the field. Imperial vehicles then to be on the large side anyway.



Next to a Chimera they're still on the small side.

Usually I use vehicles as terrain and cover, I've never liked how 40k cities are so bare of cars and trucks, no matter what the economy or society people still need food, raw materials and everything else that gets hauled around.

And I think they scale well against the Chimera. It's got to hold a squad of troops,

Are you going to make them destroyed? I'm going for battered but functional.

I have some other die cast cars, one of these days i want to douse them in lighter fluid and burn them to get the proper ruined city look.

If you can't read the signs, one has the Soylent Green logo and the slogan "Made for, by and from the people".

The other is Imperial Mail - "Nor rain, nor sleet, nor the daemons of the warp..."

Pretty simple project but I think cars and trucks add a lot to urban terrain.
