How do i paint Gandalf the Grey on cart?

more specifically the cart itself.

There are a lot of tutorials for painting Gandalf and horses which is good, but hardly anything on the cart. I appreciate that 'wood' tutorials would be a good idea, but i want a similar 'light' tone and the same wood grain as the GW version. The brightness does not need to be just like that but I would like for it to be similar.

All help would be greatly appreciated thank you. Also, these forums have helped me a lot in the past so thank you again.

Try this, keep in mind worse case scenario you can strip the paint and start over.

I would start with a black primer. Then basecoat in a dark brown. Follow up with a black or darker brown wash.

Unless you're looking for a display case paint job, drybrushing this little guy would probably work best.

Drybrush the same basecoat brown, then you can highlight with a lighter brown drybrush, or just highlight the sharp edges of the cart. I've never painted this miniture, but thats how I would do it.
