I live in Perth, Western Australia however I am from Newcastle in England and have moved over here a few months ago.

When I was younger I used to collect Warhammer Fantasy (I am talking around the time when the Bretonnians vs Lizardmen version of fantasy was released). I haven't collected in years but while in Australia for some reason got interested again.

I am starting to collect Imperial Guard and had my first battle last week (Never played 40k before other than a dark vengeance introduction game).

Itw as between 500-600 points and I cam up against the Imperial Fists. It was fun but my head got a bit mangled with all the rules!

Looking forward to getting involved again I love reading all the fluff and I can be a bit of a scatter brain and get influenced by things I see, i.e. the reason I started with Imperial Guard was because I watched Starship troopers!!

One thing I have learnt about the guard, its going to be painful moving all the troops about!

Yeah, good luck moving all those IG around once you've got a couple of thousand points. I recommend investing in lots of tanks and artillery!
