Titan scale power cables

So I'm currently working on building a warlord titan, but as I'm a chaos player I'm doing it a little differently and basing a lot of the design on the forgeworld decimator.

That means I need quite a large quantity of ridged power cable of some form, the only problem is I have no idea where I'd get something the appropriate size or scale, I'm sure I've seen ridged plastic tubing before but I can't for the life of me find any with google so I can't think where I'm going wrong. The usual mainstays of casted power cables from the likes of zinge and dragon forge are way too small as is guitar wire, help me dakka dakka you're my only hope!

How thick does it need to be? When you say ridged, do you mean solid cylinders, or still flexible enough to route as cables?

They'd have to be flexible in order to weave them around each other a little, I think it would need to be ~10-15mm wide at the thick point.

Look into marine cables for winches and handy billies perhaps. You can find quarter inch on up, laid wire which might look pretty good. If you don't like the rope look of it though, just search through general marine rope looks, there are various extruded nylon, spectra and such that might look the part for you.

Go to a hardware store. I don't know about England but in this colony we have a store called home hardware and you can buy various cables, tubes and piping for home improvement and DIY projects. Lumbar stores too. You could use anything from surgical tubing to copper cables.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ya surgical tubing would be perfect for what you are looking for, just look around any home improvement or hardware store.

Have found a UK supplier through eBay with a massive variety of diameters to play around with, now back to planning the rest of the materials!

Re:Titan scale power cables

Hit up your local hardware store and head to the plumbing section, they'll sell a variety of plastic tubing in various styles, thicknesses, whatever and you'll probably find something like what you're looking for. My recommendation would be looking at braided hosing (which can be expensive and hard to work with but looks good) or ridged tubing like bilge hosing which you may be able to buy in shorter lengths, just ask the help at the hardware store. Most of my terrain and kitbashing equipment, at least for larger scale things, comes from the hardware store, it's relatively cheap and you can generally find a large variety.

Straws for reusable convenience store drinks are about the right size, and usually have an accordion-like texture. If the hardware store doesn't pan out, see if you can get some straws.

http://www.drinkwarecompany.com/flexible-plastic-drinking-straws-7-5-inch.html (for example)
