Purple is a great shade for green. Depends on what you're doing with the purple - if it's just for shading, great.

If you're going to paint your DA army purple, well, perhaps not so great.

But ultimately, paint it whatever you like. One of the most striking armies I've ever seen was a converted Hello Kitty SM army in pink.

Bone to purple is a pretty difficult blend, but it can be done.

Perhaps the way to do it would be to use purple in the deepest recesses only. A deep, almost black, purple would be more natural than a stark black.

And that would be fine, though you have to be careful to get the right shades of green and purple together. As a rule of thumb, dark greens do well with pale lilacs, deep purples work nicely with pale greens, especially lime ones. Do a search for "green purple" or go to http://colorschemedesigner.com to play around with colours.

You'll have to be careful though, so they don't end up looking like "Joker" marines
