About the 3D it could mean two things. Either it's a short form of 3D6 as this is the most common die or it could be that you actually wanted to write D3 which is used do refer to three-sided dice. As such things do not exist you roll a D6 and divide the result by 2 while rounding up. Second, a d6 means one 6 sided dice roll. so 3d6 means roll 3 dice, 4d6 roll 4 and so on and so on.

A d20 or d10 means a 20 sided or 10 sided die. For a d3 you can just use a D6 and say 1-2 = 1, 3-4 = 2, 5-6 = 3.

Locking this up now as you will be able to see the answer, but again, please be more careful about making sure you are posting in the right place!
