I just started playing / collecting WH40K within the last month, so I'm still learning the game but have already built up around 2300 (in raw points) of Chaos Space Marines. I plan to eventually build out some other armies as well (Necron, and Daemons at least and maybe another).

I tried to get into the game years ago (back in 3rd) but never got a chance to play, so now years later I've found a group that I'll be gaming with.

I got into 40k because of the fluff, I read the Word Bearers Omnibus and love the story behind them. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it, and I'm currently working my way through the Horus Heresy series and Blood Gorgons. I'm an avid fan of playing the roll of the villain so Chaos was a pretty natural fit.

I've been into gaming in one form or another for over 20 years and love playing with numbers (why I didn't get more into 40k earlier I have no idea) I'm very analytical and do a lot of work in Excel (including my current project which is a CSM list generator for 6th).

You probably already know this, but if not, try getting your hands on the Realm of Chaos books. They are hardback rule books published in 1988 and 1990.
