I have a local hobby shop that hosts games weekly, so im looking at slowly building up an army over time. I think it would be fun for my models to have a game aspect as well!

However Im just getting into 40k (but not miniature modeling) and I cant decide on an army...
After watching some battle reports I think I would like the Space Marines or Tau..... I like the look of the Necron troops but hate the vehicles.

Anyway of those choices, which would you suggest?

Any tips on which units to buy first so I can get gaming?

Im looking to build this army up slowly, so I dont need some big box with every model at once.
