Or someone just had a silly idea, and ran with it. I would like to see them changed, but currently I am converting Empire Flagellants to be Marauders.

I would think when they are at home they get as much warmth as they can with fires and fur and what not.

As long as you don't mind the cold (and have the abs to pull it off), if you lack armor, then being naked is better then clothed. I didn't know it either, that's a very useful piece of info.

However the Marauders do have some serious moobs they seem to be showing off, to enemies, one another? I'd love a cite for that. Infection was poorly understood until the 19th century, so the idea that Celtic warriors could rationalise that fighting shirtless would stop clothing caught in the wound seems kind of fanciful.

I think the more likely reason Celtic warriors fought shirtless is the same reason the Marauder warriors are shirtless - machismo. 'Yaargh I'm a tough man, look at my chest'.
