De-Angeling the Dark Vengeance Bikes

Simple Q.

Haven't seen the models unassembled, and they seem to be a new sort of bike (no separate wheels for instance)

I've been wondering for a while if it's possible to replace the winged fairing/handlebar section with the standard one from the normal kit, or does it attach differently?

I don't know about scale, but the assembly is very similar to the standard farings: the front is separate from the bolters and handlebars. (the handlebars are separate pieces, attached to the hands)

The biggest difference is that the bolters are part of the chassis sections, so it might take a little creative cutting to fit the regular Marine ones in.

Thanks!

Sounds like a wash between adapting them or fixing second hand vanilla bikes, so I'll keep on as I was.

De-Angeling the Dark Vengeance Bikes

Have a crappy drawing!

Black is bike (bolters moulded on). Red is handlebar (separate) and green is marine (separate, can't rememer sargeant though)

Basically as long as you don't glue the front wings, you can clip through the blue line (basically the bits you'd normally glue the normal bike front fairing to). You can then replace the front wings with a vanilla one. I suggest you get the vanilla bolters too.

Other dark angel things are the back wings (easily clipped off) and ravenwing logos on the front mudguard.

I got mine off very nicely. I made a command squad out of starter bikes and the new set fairings.

De-Angeling the Dark Vengeance Bikes

The DA bits on the bikes are easy enough to remove. The bikers themselves were slightly more challenging, but at a fraction of the cost of buying the bikes seperatly, I think the work is worth it.
