Question on stripping forge world models

Hey there, I've looked through the forums and read an article on stripping but wanted some personal opinions.

I recently received a bunch of space marines and a forge world world eater terminator champion (I think that's what he is) in a trade and was wondering the best way to go about removing the paint, looks like its all a light coat but I wasn't sure what the forge world stuff is made of and don't want to melt him.

So what should I use for removing paint from forge world models? I'm hoping to use the same thing for the regular plastic marines and I have some older metal figures from another trade that need to be stripped too.

My budget is pretty tight at the moment so im hoping for something that will work for all three.

EDIT: I'm leaning towards Super Clean.

They're resin. A composite plastic. Pretty much anything you strip plastic models with, you can strip resin with. Had you done any research whatsoever, you'd know.

Question on stripping forge world models

If you had read the first part of my post you would have seen that I did research. Different people say different things and I've read more then once that certain materials will destroy resin but work fine on plastic. So if anyone has anything helpful to say please let me know!

You did your research? Yet want opinions? Opinions are not dependant on facts. But sure...

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/488513.page

There's research for you. I use that stuff, works the same on plastic as resin. Works fine on FW resin, have used it myself.

"redspirit is 95% denaturated ethylalcohol, ethanol (C2H5OH)" translated from norwegian.

Re:Question on stripping forge world models

Opinions and experiences of others only amount to you making an educated guess on what to use yourself. There's no guarantee, no matter what information you've gathered it might be wrong. So you might as well try what makes sense to yourself, that is resin = plastic. Something strong enough to melt plastic wouldn't be good, but something mild that lets you strip plastic might. So try it.

You can get a hundred opinions and experiences, but they might all be wrong since you're in a different country and end up using a slightly different product. If you want to be 100% sure, then use something you've asked particularly for. Location, store, product. Not just "what strips forgeworld stuff (I don't even know what it is?!"?!)))".

I use super clean, but test it on a piece of sprue or scrap first.

I find it mildly irritates my skin, so I use simple green when stripping metal (as its good enough for metal) but use super clean for most non metals.

best of luck.
