I picked up an older, all resin Vulture kit. It came with a "display" base that is freakin' huge.
The post and base are made from a thick, clear plastic. The damn model is so heavy, it snapped
the rod for the base just below where it goes into the Vulture. I'm pretty sure I can drill it out without
too much trouble(just jinxed myself!). But what would be a good, solid replacement for the base and rod?
I'd prefer the base to be Valkyrie sized. I'm working on a couple of ideas for weighing it down.

Wooden base, wooden rod.

Resin base, wooden rod.

Resin base, metal rod.

Any premade ones you suggest? Or are you saying all selfmade?
I've got my eye on a few resin Valkyrie sized bases. And I'm sure I can find
a 1/2" wooden dowl. Metal might be trickier. Plus, could make it more top heavy,

If you find a resin base you fancy then go for that, woodwise I was thinking just cutting something to size. A metal rod wouldn't have to be all that thick to take the weight, or you could go for a hollow tube possibly. Might be able to get a slightly thicker clear acrylic rod to do the job as well.

The rod that's broke off in the bottom of the Vulture is 1/2" acrylic rod. It was glued in place, and shipped that way. I'm sure it took a sudden, jarring impact causing it
