Deployment was pretty standard, the warrior's Raider and one Venom on the left flank with my other vehicles on the right. Malys' redeploy being invaluable at granting maximum cover to my vehicles. My Daemon allies waited in reserve for an opportunity as the Ultramarines prepared their vehicles ready for a charge with the Thunderfire cannon taking cover.

The Smurfs seized the initiative.

Turn One
Malys surveyed the battlefield from her transport with a clinical eye, amused by the scurrying mon'keigh preparing for a charge. She would let them think they had the advantage, then trap them and annihilate them.
She turned to her Incubi bodyguards. "Give the order," she spat. "Let death take to the air."

The Ultramarines moved up and the Dreadnought in the Pod flew down to shoot my Ravager, only managing to stun it. The Lascannon dreadnought and Rhino on the left flank shot at the Warrior's Raider, immobilising and stunning it. The Land Raider managed to pop off one lascannon shot at Malys' Raider, but the skimmer was mostly obscured and easily made its cover save.

Then, all hell broke loose. One unit of Flamers, both Plaguebearers and the Bloodthirster arrived from reserve, the Bloodthirster taking middle ground with the other Daemons deep striking onto the left flank, well inside enemy lines. Little scattering occurred, a lucky thing as the Flamers were in position to burn both the Lascannon dreadnought and a Rhino.
The leftmost Wych squad moved to assault and destroy the multimelta dreadnought, which was still a danger, while the other one moves to engage the Land Raider with Calgar and his Terminators. The Ravager and Malys' Raider stayed put, the Raider moving just an inch to get a jink save. Both Wych squads threw a haywire grenade at their respective targets.

Well, wasn't that lucky? The Ravager's snap shots at the drop pod did nothing, but the Raider managed to blow it up. Huzzah! Meanwhile, the Flamers glanced the lascannon Dreadnought to death and brought the Rhino down to one hull point with a lucky template position. The four Wyches that destroyed the Land Raider assaulted Calgar and his buddies, losing three to overwatch. The one that was left, however, managed to take down a Terminator before taking a power fist to the knee. And the face.

After turn one, the results were: DE/Daemons: First Blood, Linebreaker, 4 kill points. Marines: 1 kill point.

Turn Two
Malys nodded approvingly at the sparking corpses of the Land Raider that had dared shoot at her and the Dreadnought that had damaged the Ravager. The Daemons were unexpected, but the help was welcome, in a way. There was no evidence of Slaanesh to be found, which was always a good thing.
"Call in our air support," she ordered. "There is much cleaning up to be done."

The Ultramarine player had seen better first turns for him. To make matters worse, the Stormtalon failed to arrive. His Marines on the left flank disembarked from the Rhino while the Terminators and Calgar moved to take down the Venom that had dropped of the oh-so-lethal Wyches. The other Rhino moved to the left flank, seeking to reinforce its brothers, while the Land Speeder tried tp take down the flying Bloodthirster, as did the Predator Annihilator.
Shooting brought the Terminator's target Venom down to one hull point, jink doing its miracles to block the assault cannon. The Land Speeder and Predator unloaded everything at the Bloodthirster. When the smoke cleared, all that remained was an unharmed but very confused Greater Daemon of Khorne. The Thunderfire cannon and left Tactical squad killed two of the Plaguebearers, lucky invulns and FnP saving them. In the assault phase, Calgar's squad charged the Venom, grabbing it by the underslung cannon and spinning it round a bit before smashing it on the dust and rock of the barren world.

During the alliance's turn, although the Razorwing also failed to arrive, the Plaguebearers moved up as the Bloodcrushers arrived in the centre and the Horrors deep struck in, ready to unleash hell on Marneus Calgar and his buddies. Malys' Incubi disembarked, joining the two remaining Wyches to assault the Terminators if they survived the oncoming shots. The Raider loosed a blast at the Land Speeder, missing, while the Ravager glanced the Predator - an unfortunate occurance, as that thing is dangerous. The Bloodthirster prepared to assault the one intact Rhino, while a casual lance shot from the immobilised Raider exploded the other one, killing one Marine. The Horrors, Wyches and remaining Venom shot at the Terminators, killing all three, leaving just poor Calgar to face the oncoming charge alone. Both squads, Wyches and Incubi, made it in, unmolested by overwatch. Two Wounds were dealt to the Smurf lord, and four Incubi were felled in return. The Wyches ran away, but the one remaining Incubus stayed, being the courageous fool he is. The Bloodthirster stunned and destroyed the storm bolter on its target Rhino, but the sturdy tank survived. One Plaguebearer squad assaulted the disembarked Tacticals, both taking one casualty.

After turn two, the results were: DE/Daemons: First Blood, Linebreaker, 6 kill points. Marines: 2 kill points.

Turn Three
Malys gritted her teeth in displeasure. Her pathetic bodyguards had failed in the one thing they were supposed to be best at: killing things. No matter, she decided, more daemons had arrived, and the enemy was being whittled down, one threat at a time. She would be victorious, she was sure.
But a slight sound on the wind alerted her, and, turning to her left, her eyes widened in shock and horror...

First thing up, the Stormtalon arrived, and it christened itself by ripping into the non-combat locked Plaguebearers, killing two. The rightmost Tacticals quietly exited their vehicle, slowly as not to alarm the giant red demon bellowing furiously and shaking their transport, wondering why it was still working. They shot at the Bloodcrushers, killing one, while the Predator again failed to hurt the Bloodthirster. The Thunderfire cannon almost casually wiped out the Pink Horrors with its ranged fury. The Land Speeder's heavy flamer glanced the Ravager but left its other two vehicular targets unharmed. The multi-melta, fired out of spite at the Venom, also missed. In assault, no Plaguebearers died, but one Marine fell to their pustulant blades. Calgar easily finished off the final Incubus and moved towards the Wyches.

Neither the Razorwing nor second Flamer unit arrived. The final Venom scooted around to pop some shots off at Calgar, wounding him once. The Bloodthirster vector struck the Stormtalon, sending it crashing to the ground, killing two Plaguebearers and wounding the Bloodcrusher. The Ravager blew up the Predator, while the Raider shot at the Land Speeder. It hits. 2's to glance, 3's to pen.

The second Plaguebearer unit joined its kin in asault with the leftmost Tactical squad while the Bloodcrushers charged and devastated the one in the centre. After sustaining heavy casualties, both Marine squads voluntarily fell back and avoided the sweeping advances to shoot next turn.

After turn three, the results were: DE/Daemons: First Blood, Linebreaker, 8 kill points. Marines: 3 kill points

Turn Four
It was over now. Malys knew there was no way her foes could come back from such brutal casualties. Nodding in satisfaction to herself, she sat back in her transport and instructed her troops to finish this and return to Commorragh, with slaves dragged in chains.

The Ultramarines tried to inflict as much damage as they could, with the Thunderfire Cannon and two Tactical squads killing one Bloodcrusher and three Plaguebearers. Calgar fired his orbital bombardment, atomising two Plaguebearers. The rest just did not want to die. The Rhino rammed my Venom, inflicting one hull point, while the Land Speeder tried to melt Malys' Raider, only to be foiled by jink.

The Razorwing and Flamers finally arrived, with my flyer's disintegrator cannons making short work of Papa Smurf. The Ravager and Raider blew up the Land Speeder, which wasn't going to survive any longer! The Flamers slew one Tactical squads while the Bloodthirster and Plaguebearers finished off the other. At this point, our opponent conceded, having only a battered Rhino and a Thunderfire cannon left against most of our army. Victory to the Daemons and Dark Eldar!

Final Score: DE/Daemons: First Blood, Linebreaker, Slay the Warlord, 12 kill points. Marines: 3 kill points.

Malys laughed as she set foot on the blood-slicked rocks of the newly conquered world. Her surviving Warriors and Wyches followed her, cackling with glee as blood rained from the skies.
She turned to her servents, and said three words.
"Slaughter, pillage, kill."
