Anodized Aluminum Gaming Dice Kickstarter

Hey Guys,

My friend started a kickstarter campaign to make aluminum gaming dice for war games. I bought the set of 25 engraved dice with the carry case (which apparently also has pips so it doubles as a large turn counter!). He let me roll them around for a while and the aluminum dice are just barely heavier than plastic dice which (I think) makes them feel better. They cost more than plastic dice, but with how much I've spent on miniatures and rule books (Alot -.-) I didn't think it was over priced to get a set of unique dice.

Anyway, here's the link. He's looking for more support to roll out a bunch of them.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/829525177/miniature-aluminum-gaming-dice

Anodized Aluminum Gaming Dice

I'd be very interested and would certainly consider it but for two reasons:

1: Would they be able to ship to the UK?
2: What sort of price are we talking about, seeing as it's a new business I can't imagine it'll be as cheap as I'm thinking.

Re:Anodized Aluminum Gaming Dice

I asked him about it...

Blacksails-
The rounded edges are a 1/32 fillet, the rendering is accurate of the final product. The reason for the fillet is apparently he dropped one about 5 feet onto concrete and it slightly dented the corner, but the filleting solved this. I've rolled my couple that I borrowed on a wooden surface, my desk and on a terrain board and they don't damage anything at all. At .16 ounces they aren't even double the weight of a plastic die. He said that if there's enough interest in having sharp edges that they might allow the purchaser to choose between slightly rounded and sharp edges.

Sekai-
Do you mean casino dice as in .75" cubes?

Valkyrie -
They added international shipping to the website due to having people ask about it. The prices are listed on the site. I purchased the set that was $125 and comes with 25 dice, an aluminum carry case that doubles as a turn counter and it's the early bird version so all 25 dice will be engraved on one side with my name!

I have some regular dice that come in little dice cubes, but they always get mixed up with everyone else's. I guess being aluminum they're lighter than what I keep imagining them to be. I like the rounded edges, personally. Might have to go in on this.

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, the "carry case" is supposed to be one of those cubes too, but machined from aluminum and with pips on all sides to double as a turn counter. I'm looking forward to mine being different so I stop losing 1 or 2 dice here and there!
