Chaos Defiler how many in an army????

In the CSM codex the Defiler does not have an option of taking another Defiler, this is also the case with all heavy support units except the havocs and obliterators. So can you only take one of each heavy support unit???

Oh OK. I'm just making sure because it does have a max number of units you can have for your troops. ex. you can only have a total of 15 possessed space marines. But is this for squad composition?

Chaos Defiler how many in an army????

Each HS choice uses up a slot. The unit composition is how many models in the unit. So for example, you could take 3 units of Possessed Space Marines and each squad can be anywhere from 5 to 20 models. If a vehicle allows for multiple models to be chosen, it will have a unit composition of, for example, 1-3 War Walkers.

You can take as many units as you have FOC slots for, unless they unit has a specific restriction on how many you can take.
