Necrons Force Astares Retreat in Sigmunous Sector

Late reports from the Sigmunous Sector tell of a Necron incursion
in the vicinity of the abandoned Imperial Courts building. A recon
detail of Space Marines under the command of Colonel Cristobal
encountered the intruding combat group of destroyers, warriors and
lychguard believed to be led by the infamous Destroyer Lord Sharydan.
The Ministorum of Records provided campod images of the encounter.

A Whirlwind and Dread sight through the dawn mists as the Necrons come on.


The mixed force of Necrons appear strong in front of Cristobal's Left


On Cristobal's right the lychguard advances


In the distance the campod locates an Immortal position


Cristobal calls in a dread to outflank the menace and disrupt the Necron plan


It seems to work as the Wraithes peel off to address the Dread presence and
Necron warriors pivot to open fire on the intruder. The Dread is blown up by
concentrated fire from the Immortals position and that of the warriors.


At the front, the remorseless advance of the Necrons continues




Cristobal calls in Jump Troops and a nearby Bike Squadron for support


In a rash move, the bikes charge out to meet the threat and are cut down by
concentrated Gauss fire. The Vindicator also succumbs to the overwhelming
Gauss fire.


Lord Sharydan is determined and orders Deathmarks to teleport in and destroy the
Jump Troops


Cristobal, sensing that the situation was getting out of hand ordered his
Shock Jump Troops to eliminate the Deathmarks to cover his withdrawal


The Necron appearance in the Sigmunous Sector has raised alarms throughout
the department. Imperial and Astares forces are being mobilized to contain the threat.
