Eldar vs Daemons 750pts First 6th Ed Game

Ok first game with daemons and first game in 6th edition NOT my first game against my friends thrice damned Eldar with their re-rollable 4+ saves and re-rollable hits that mean they never seem to miss or actually fail a damned save.... but I digress.

My Daemons
Herald of Tzeentch
Boon
Bolt
Master of Sorcery

Herald of Nurgle
Noxious Touch
Breath of Chaos

5 Horrors
Chaos Icon
Bolt

5 Horrors/Changeling

7 Plaguebearers
Chaos Icon

Deamon Prince
Daemonic Flight
Mark of Nurgle
Breath of Chaos

The Thrice Damned Eldar
Farseer
RoW
RoS
Fortune
Guide

2X
10 Dire Avengers
Exarch, Bladestorm, Defend, Shimmersheild Power Weapon
Wave Serpent, Missile Launcher, Shuriken Cannon

DEPLOYMENT
Plenty of Ruins on the table with the eldar staying safely in their super metal boxes, made my deployment a bit of a nightmare, so much terrain, so many potential deep strike mishaps.

Eldar Turn 1
With nothing to attack or react to, the eldar sit happily in their boxes.

Daemons Turn 1
The stars were on my side for the moment and I got my preferred wave, my daemon prince and my plague bearers with my nurgle Herald, had to deploy them quite a way away as to avoid colliding with a ruined building, prince sets to swooping.

Eldar Turn 2
Wave serpents race forward and take a few pot shots at my plague bearers dealing no damage whatsoever.... I'm starting to like Toughness 5.

Daemons Turn 2
Horrors pop in with the Tzeentch herald, Prince swoops towards the eldar wave serpents, plague bearers do some minor repositioning to shield the horrors and generally shuffle after the prince.

Eldar Turn 3
Dire avengers deploy en masse, farseer fires off both physic powers and the entire Eldar line opens up on my daemon prince, in a horrendous display of 6's knock two wounds off.

Daemons Turn 3
Daemon Prince gets his own back with a breath of chaos and a vector strike, Plague bearers and horrors shuffle towards the eldar lines some more, terrain block any LoS to get a bolt of Tzeentch off

Eldar Turn 4
Eldar farseers squad mounts up while the other unit fire off against the prince, bladestorming with one unit this time, he laughs off most of it and takes a wound.

Daemons Turn 4
Prince flies off the table with one last vector strike as the remaining daemons shuffle intently. Soooo much shuffling

Eldar Turn 5
Eldar suddenly realize there are other daemons on the table the farseers squad pops out within close range and open fire the bladestorm the plague bearers out of existence and fail the leadership check on the changelings glamour and sink a ton of shots into the side of the wave serpent, they can;t hurt it but neither can they shoot next turn now, one unit of horrors peel off around a ruined building to try and attack the rear wave serpent. The other horror squad gets blasted by the seers wave serpent and i fail every single save, leaving one horror with bolt still standing. Seers unit charges the Plague bearers.

That particular combat lasts 3-4 turns of the avengers being ground down into paste while the tzeentch herald boons the farseer to spawnhood which proceeds to smash the seers serpent to exploding death as for the wave serpents for the last few turns, welllll theyve spent the last 3-4 turns firing missiles and splinter cannons at my herald and remaining horror, my share of the good luck finally kicks in and for these 3-4 turns the two of them have passed every save they were forced to make.

Following turn the other squad of avengers bladestorm the changers unit out of existence and are charged in turn by the herald and one remaining plague bearer from the previous close combat, another grindy combat sees the spawnified farseer join in, the plaguebearer die but the avengers break and are run down by the herald and the spawn, the remaining wave serpent is glanced to death by the Tzeentch herald.

Well, luck played a massive part in that fight, the eldar seemed pre-destined to kill the prince with an inordinate number of 6's to hit, we estimated after the game that when it came to shooting the prince on a 6 the eldar succeeded with about half their shots.... but in the end my herald and lone horror spent 3 turns knocking Krak missiles out of the air and dodging splinter cannon shots
