I have some light grey car primer that I use for metal/resin models sitting here so I decided to try it on the plastic -- only to find that the paint comes off with a little bit of rubbing.

I just spent a few hours lovingly painting up a test model that I had primed with the car primer. Is there any way to seal the paint on or prevent it from chipping off now?

For reference, the primer I used is Rust Check sandable automotive primer.
