				<title>New to Space Orks, need help!</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi, I play a fair amount of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> but have never played Orks in any edition, recently I bought a large Ork army on ebay and I was wondering what peoples ultimate tournament lists were for 1850 pts? My codex is in the post, as soon as it gets here I will have a go at a list and post it here for comments but in the mean time I would love to hear your suggestions!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I've found that with overwatch, trukk boyz have become very unreliable, you usually have to use two mobs of trukk boyz to eliminate one target.<br /> <br /> On the otherhand, I love squads of 20 boyz on a BW with a deffrolla and bigshoota (keep them cheap, just these two upgrades)<br /> <br /> 4 meganobz + mega-warboss on a battlewagon will wreack havoc on your enemy.<br /> <br /> Lootas are great if your dice rolls are good, if you want a shooty army, have both lootas and dakkajets.<br /> <br /> If you use dakkajets, try to use as many as you can (2 or 3, 3 is better), they come at 3+ and the WAAAAGH for 18 shots.<br /> <br /> Komandos...RIP]]></description>

				<title>New to Space Orks, need help!</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ First off don't call them Space Orks. (I don't know why it bugs me, it just does.)<br /> <br /> As the guys have mentioned you need to select a 'style' of Orks. The options are generally broken down into two types: 'Green Tide' or 'Speed Freak.'<br /> <br /> You could try a hybrid but most people find you are better going one way or the other. I try to keep a mix and an open mind about most units.<br /> <br /> Green Tide involves basically putting down as many boys as you can on the table, the idea being your opponent cannot take on so many large groups at once or if they can they are distracting themselves from another threat.<br /> <br /> Speed Freaks is a pretty general term and maybe not the right one, but moving quickly is the goal here. As many squads as you can mounted up in Battlewagons and Trukks, who basically roar up to your enemies as soon as possible to wreak havoc.<br /> <br /> Both are good and have their positives and negatives, on the whole though both are quite fun, as all ork things should be. (Although I've found the Green Tide can lead to some long/dull movement phases.)<br /> <br /> I personally run a 'Quick' list, the bulk of my units are mounted in Battlewagons and Trukks, while I have a few squads who sit in the back/midfield with an Aegis Defence Line. Usually Grots + Lootas. I also always keep one big mob of 30 boys near the mid table to rush forward/back as I need it.<br /> <br /> Shoota Boyz, especially in trukks, along with Lootas are pretty much a godsend for Orks and I'd personally not leave home without them. I've not tried a Dakkajet although I'm looking to get one in the coming days.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Wow my friend you should clean up the way that was posted, try and get everything together like troops with troops and heavy with heavy. <br /> <br /> But on to your list, it just will not work. I am sorry to say but it is low on bodies, high on toyz,and not tough enough to survive. I guess it is just really disjointed with no synergy. Lets dissect it and see what we have good and bad.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>:<br /> Ghazy: He is a VERY ard war boss with all of the cool things that make war bosses awesome. He will probably beat anyone's <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> except Abbadon and even then he will give Abby a run for his money. But he is VERY pricey so if you use him you are better off using a much cheaper second <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> unit. There is a big debate on whether you would rather have one Gazzy or two standard warbosses in Mega armor. I will leave that up to you.<br /> <br /> Wazdakka Gutsmek: He is a very flavorfull unit but again over priced for what he brings to the table. The only reason to really have him is if you want multiple bike units as troops. Since you do not have that it would be best to just have a Boss on a bike (Fantastic unit) and switching those bikers to Nob Bikers which any warboss can bring as troops.<br /> <br /> Elite: O<br /> This spot has some really cool choices in it first is the lootas those guys are if not the best unit in our army then one of the best. Burna boyz in battle wagons are also nice, do a 120 hits on a unit one time and you will bring these boyz to more fights. Tank busters have also had a bit of a come back this edition 10 to 15 Rockits is nothing to sneeze at. Kommandos equal garbage.<br /> <br /> Troops:<br /> 5 nobz in a battle wagon is not a bad choice, I prefer them in a truck but that is just to taste either way a dead ard choice. You battle wagon is a very nice choice though the Riggers are not needed. <br /> <br /> 20 slugga Boyz I assume are going in the other battle wagon which is the right choice as far as it goes. You have kept the squad super cheap with no upgrades which is not a bad way to go. But shoota boyz may be better since they have more utility. Since you are going slugga boyz it is assumed that you are trying to get into close combat with them. Since that is the case you may want a nob in there with a boss pole. 20 boyz is a lot but they lose bodies fast and their leadership becomes suspect.<br /> <br /> 6 Bikers one a nob is ok and the nob can take the challenge for Wazzdakka but really these guys would be better off being all nobs with a power Klaw and pain boy thrown in. Now THAT unit is dead ard! These guys are going to get eaten up and spit out so unless you add a bunch more bikers as troops this unit needs to go.<br /> <br /> 10 Grechin I like more of them to soak up fire but otherwise a good unit to man the Quad gun.<br /> <br /> Fast:<br /> 2 Dakka Jets I like them but am unconvinced that they are as good as lootas. They are basically the same price as 10 lootas but the lootas cannot be destroyed with one shot, have more guns at higher strength and longer range. But dang the Jets look cool! So to each his own on them but I am not convinced that the Fighter Ace upgrade is worth it. Play with it a few times to decide on your own.<br /> <br /> 5 Deffkoptas These guys can be good but I prefer them with Rockits and as a tank hunting unit. As is they are not really worth their points especially since 2 casualties will could easily make them run away. Use them carefully and with a purpose, I just cannot see what their purpose is with Big Shootas.<br /> <br /> Heavy: <br /> Battle Wagon good unit but since they are carrying a close combat unit dump the Big shootas (other them maybe one) and add a death roller. Most likely you will be moving all out with it and will not be able to shoot and once you dump the boyz the death roller is just pure wonderful cheesy gravy.<br /> <br /> 2 Killa kanz with big shootas uh why, they just don't seem to make sense in this list (well as much as anything makes sense in this list), I guess they could baby-sit the Grots. The problem is they are too few to make a difference, they are slower then all of your troops, and they are fragile too boot. At the least make them two units but if it was me I would either add a bunch more, get two deff dreads instead, or in my opinion dump them and get something that can keep up with the boyz. <br /> <br /> So if you can ignore my spelling and grammar I hope I have helped a little. 				<description><![CDATA[ Wow! Thanks for taking the time to write that reply Crawdadr, this was only my first attempt at a list and some of it was influenced by models I have. I know what you are saying about grouping troops together then elites yadda yadda but I actually put things that were going to work together in the game near each other on the list. For example you guessed that the grots will sit by the quad gun behind the aegis defence line, only ten because that is what I have model wise.( they are such fun models I can see me getting some more later though!) I was sure that I had put a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(186);'>def</span> roller on both Battle Wagons but hey it isn't there on the second one! I went for boyz with the close combat weapons because they seemed better suited to combat than shooting but never having played with this army I really don't know which is better. I liked the idea of the bikers because they were a scoring unit that was mobile and with wazdakka upfront I thought he would soak up punishment for the squad.  Good advice on the kopters. I just love the dakka jets and thought I would have to give them a go! Ghazy would sit with the mega nobz and lay the smack down jumping out of the Battle wagon, the outrigger was just to use a spare few points. The Wagon army is a very good army and I think you could win alot with it. A couple of things you will be supprised at how little you will get out of the Ard boyz. Save the 80 points and use them on more Lootas. If you realy like the agis line you could probbaly finagle enouph points for a unit of Grechin who could man it.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Lootas don't have Skyfire, but with their ballistic skill being a 2 and needing to hit on 5+ normally taking snap shots at fliers and needing 6's to hit is not much different for them. And yes you are correct it is more their weight of fire that will bring down most fliers. D3 shots per loota can mean a mess of dice so statistically speaking they hit enough to not be ignored. Especially since they can glance/pen most everything that can be fielded.<br /> <br /> I don't own any, but have been on the receiving end of a squad of lootas so I know it is effective.
