Imperial Guard Auxiliaries - Red Scorpion support units, w/ Carbine Lasguns. Extra fun 360* view!

Hey everybody.

I posted a thread the other day about some IG troops and what backpacks to use. Here is the finished product -

These guys are meant to be Fleet based, so I went for almost a drop trooper kind of look. The head is by Pig Iron and the backpack is Anvil Industries - everything else is the stock GW model.

I've still got to pop some of the bubbles in the transfer and microsol it again, but he's pretty much done. With 40 more of these guys to convert and paint I'm not gonna be highlighting them any time soon.

Hope you like.

Holy hell, that thing is awesome! But his clothes kind of blend together from the pics, so I'd just add some grey highlights to everything (boot edges, las-carbine casing, elbows and knees, etc.). But since you've still got 40 left, a simply drybrush of lighter grey would bring out the details nicely, and only take a minute or two to do, and another minute to hit it with a black wash to blend the colours together. Also, BASE THEM ALL! It's so simple, just grab some PVA, get some sand, and throw it on there, tapping the edge of the base som excess sand/dirt comes off. You could even use a textured paint like the ones in the GW range.
