DIY Blood Angels Successor Chapter WIP

Ok so I've decided on my own Chapter and am starting to think about the back story, what do we think of this? this is very much WIP and just a collection of thoughts at this time.

Sons of Sanguinius or The Order Sanguinius (not too sure of the name yet)

Formed as part of the second founding the Sons of Sanguinius were deeply effected by the echos of their primarchs death, so much so they set off away from Baal with one mission, revenge against Chaos. A full Chapter left not to be seen millennia until recently a company+ size formation has been sighted seemingly returning to the place of their birth, maybe to answer Commander Dante's call to defend Baal.

Although a codex chapter they have been reduced to a single company, the 2nd with a few veteran 1st company elements and too few aspirants. Operating out of a Battle Barge in unknown space they have been forced to recruit anyware they can, recently this has led to clashes with other Space Marine chapters as inadvertently recruits have been taken from their recruiting worlds. So long away has left the Sons with a severe lack of up to date knowledge of Imperial politics!

Like all BA successors they suffer from the Red Thirst but uniquely due to their isolation the effects have developed differently, not lusting for the close range battle the Sons love the ranged fight, preferring to tear their enemy apart with bolter fire leaving as bloody a mess as possible but with a cool calm efficiency, when the lust takes hold though it's not unknown for them to wound an enemy for their pleasure listening to their screams and watching them bleed out.

Black Rage and Death Company (death squad), the Sons also suffer from an extreme form of black rage hunted by the echos of their past, but again uniquely they have learnt to control the rage, in fact their form of death company the Death Squad is used to finally test what few recruits they have before becoming full battle brothers. On the eve of battle the company chaplains induce the rage in would be brothers before releasing them onto the battlefield, those who die are honored, those who survive but can't stop and control the rage are given Sanguinius's love, those who manage control are initiated into the 2nd company.

Markings (think Blood Ravens)

The sons were a dark blood red armour, with a bone coloured Aquila with bone shoulder pads rimmed in black. The left shoulder pad carries the BA chapter symbol and the right the company number.

The black rim represents that they have conquered the black rage, the bone the purity this feat represents.

Veterens/sergeants wear a bone coloured helmet and it's unknown for them to wear robes as they reach longer service.

No squad markings are present on the right shoulder pad as normal, instead the sons colour the right knee pad for their designation, black = tactical, yellow = assault, blue = devastator.. No squad numbers are used as a battle brother is expected to know his brothers.

What do we think so far? very much work in progress but it outlines what I'm heading for.
