I would suggest a sand layer or some kind of basing, and perhaps a less distracting and unified base rim color. I think that would tie your army together quite well.

Anyday Now 10 warriors, 10 wyches, 3 reavers, 2 raiders, a haemonculus, 10 hellions and some talos bits will be arriving, I look forward to painting them up and to doing some conversions with the talos parts.

I will convert a baron sathonyx out of a hellion, and probably try to make more grotesques or scratch buld a talos, I will also convert a raider into a ravager, it will simply be a raider with 2 crew man standing on deck with dark lances as well as the main gun. I will also convert my Island of blood skaven to be wracks and possibly use a bunch swarming on a large base to represent a razorwing flock or if I really want to push it, a talos lol.

Soon I'm also going to order at least 10 dark elf cold one knights which I will convert into dark eldar cavalry to count as reavers and possibly an eldar jet seer. Basically the plan is to spam reavers as tough, mobile, anti tank and harrassing units. Have the jetseer ride with the big squad which will go after vehicles, his eldritch storm plus their mobility ensures the heat lances will be able to shoot rear armour and the champion's power maul can even glance leman russ rear armour with str5 ap4. Duke sliscus is only there because he is cheap and buffs the combat drugs of the bikes and wyches, wyches are anti tank or cc tie up units, the warriors are there to take full advantage of the duke, a 3+poisoned gun boat cant hurt, then wracks are only there to have the venom and if enemies get too close the wracks can jump out and speedbumb them or maybe kill something if some weakened guard or tactical marines are present. Last but not least the two razorwings ensure air superiority and although they must come in from reserves they will kill stuff as soon as they arrive. Island of Blood Skaven, count as razorwing flocks or if I really want to push it, grotesques

Another "Razorwing flock" and the bigger base one counts as a clawed fiend

I know, this is alot of Island of blood stuff, the warlock engineer will count as a haemonculis and the skaven spearman based individually will be khymarae as buying a big beast pack is incredibly expensive and my friends proxy way harder than I do anyway (like just saying last minute "oh by the way that chimera is actually a hydra")

Oh sh** I lied, but seriously this is the last one, the swordmasters will be painted in desert camo and count as Incubi...If I ever use Incubi :p


Ok, now onto the new models I just got:


reavers, I modelled the Arena champion to have a power maul as I think the mobility of the bikes could really make great use of them against vehicles, if they have 2 pain tokens and they charge the rear armour of a leman russ the champion could actually destroy it
made a five man trueborn squad with 2 blasters and a dracon, I think I might try running a few squads like this rather than one squad with four blasters.

Lady Malys conversion or it could be a kabalite themed lelith hesperax. and btw I did not paint this it was painted by Hellmm who is an excellent painter, I will try to finish the original paintjob on this.

I also got 10 hellions, a talos, a razor wing and 2 raiders I will make a Baron Sathonynx conversion to go with the beast pack, I will post pictures soon, I will also buy some dark elf cold one nights and make DE cavalry to count as reavers or eldar guardian bikes, I'm thinking 3x normal bikers and a jetarch and jet seer but I'll see. I'll also work on painting more stuff up.

wonder how ull use the rest of ur island of blood models, hmmmmmmmm
maybe the rest ur skaven hq can be the archon's court
the elf lord could be a a vemon or reaver champ if you decide to make a unit
the other high elves can be incubi or trueborn whom would look great with head swaps
these are just ideas, and i dont know how many models you have left so don't take them too seriously
